If you are thinking that you might like to have an allotment, you can contact the Tilehurst Allotments Society (TAS) for more information
New tenants are always welcome. For details about the rent and tenants agreement look at the landlord's website tplc website . There are a number of plots available for disabled people who want to keep on gardening. You will make new friends; enjoy the peace and calm of the area - and probably end up with a bad back!
Once you have decided you would like to have an allotment on our site, the easiest way of getting on the waiting list for a plot is to:
send your name, address and phone number by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
come along to the allotments and ask for Jenny
write to Jenny at 85 Westwood Road RG31 5PY
contact any of the TAS committee members; you will find them listed in the latest copy of DigIt .
The details needed by the landlord are your full name, your address including your postcode, your telephone number and your email address. TAS will pass on your details to the landlord so that you can be added to the list of people waiting for a plot to become available. Most new tenants are offered a half plot.
When you have given us your contact details you will also become a TAS member and we will give you copies of our magazine Digit. Once your have been offered a plot by the landlord and you have accepted the offer we will also give you a presentation pack to help you on your way.
You should soon be able to start digging and reaping.Home
